Roy Neary's Mayflower Spacesuit

HERO 'MAYFLOWER' SPACE SUIT WORN BY Richard Dreyfuss.

This Jumpsuit from the blockbuster movie Close Encounters Of The Third Kind was worn on screen by Richard Dreyfuss (Roy Neary). He was selected to join the so called Mayflower project and was chosen by the aliens at the end of the movie to step aboard the Mother ship and leave planet Earth forever.

This same jumpsuit was also used 18 months later after the release of Close Encounters when Steven Spielberg started filming the Special Edition where he wanted the audience to experience how the Mother ship looked from the inside and Roy Neary was seen to climb aboard. The suit comes with the original Mayflower project and "United States flag" patches on both shoulders. It has a tag sewed in the collar whith the initials "R.D.1" (Richard Dreyfuss 1) and the size (size 40). The suit was manufactured by Bowler's Shirt & Uniform CO. Inc. Los Angeles. A truly rare item from a classic Spielberg's blockbuster movie.

Suit remains in excellent screen used condition.
