The Back to the Future Trilogy is one of the most celebrated and influential film trilogies in cinematic history. Created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, and produced by Steven Spielberg, the trilogy consists of Back to the Future (1985), Back to the Future Part II (1989), and Back to the Future Part III (1990). Blending science fiction, comedy, adventure, and heartfelt storytelling, the series redefined the time-travel genre while introducing audiences to some of cinema's most iconic characters, including Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown. Collectively, the trilogy has become a cultural phenomenon, inspiring generations of filmmakers and fans, and remains one of the most beloved franchises ever created. The original Back to the Future was selected for preservation by the Library of Congress in the National Film Registry in 2007 for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

Together, the three films grossed nearly US$1 billion worldwideacross their original theatrical releases and subsequent re-releases, while earning numerous awards and lasting recognition for their innovative visual effects, memorable score by Alan Silvestri, and timeless storytelling.
